Last May 1, due to the extreme boredom we had, I and my little brother, decided to cover a song without any vocals included. The song I've chosen was "Chasing Cars" by the rock band Snow Patrol. We agreed that I will play the piano and my brother will do the guitar. In addition, we fitted the color of our shirts with the color of our chosen instruments.
Basically, I did minor renditions and made some arrangements of the song. Moreover, we rehearsed for thirty minutes to at least perfect the song. Optimistically, my brother didn't have any complaints about it, which I expected he would have. However, we needed another person to take the video. So my brother asked his friend to do the video recording.
Finally, we've finished the recording. Because the end part was too long that was not anymore part of the song, we've made some editions of the video and added credits after the song. After, we posted it on youtube and facebook. Glad to say, so far, all of the comments and feedbacks were positive. Some even thought that I and my brother are twins (LOL).
Here's the video, sing along, and enjoy:
Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol (Cover)
Lyrics:
We'll do it all
Everything
On our own
We don't need
Anything
Or anyone
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel
Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life
Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads
I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life
All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see
I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all
Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough
