Chasing Cars (Instrumental Cover)

Last May 1, due to the extreme boredom we had, I and my little brother, decided to cover a song without any vocals included. The song I've chosen was "Chasing Cars" by the rock band Snow Patrol.We agreed that I will play the piano and my brother will do the guitar. In addition, we fitted the color of our shirts with the color of our chosen instruments.

Basically, I did minor renditions and made some arrangements of the song. Moreover, we rehearsed for thirty minutes to at least perfect the song. Optimistically, my brother didn't have any complaints about it, which I expected he would have. However, we needed another person to take the video. So my brother asked his friend to do the video recording.

Finally, we've finished the recording. Because the end part was too long that was not anymore part of the song, we've made some editions of the video and added credits after the song. After, we posted it on youtube and facebook. Glad to say, so far, all of the comments and feedbacks were positive. Some even thought that I and my brother are twins (LOL).

Good day everyone! It's been a long time not posting here.

A person will usually stay calm if they are lying to show us that they are not lying but actually they're lying...They just act so relaxed to pretend that they're innocent.

An innocent person would be so nervous if they are accused of something they didn't do because they are so afraid and find it so hard to defend themselves.

So, the new style of lying today is to be so nervous not the stay-calm style because it's so overused. People of today can't be fooled by that calm style of lying.

Maybe after 10 years, the best way to lie is to be calm again because acting so nervous would be so rusted if that time comes.heheheh

It's a new song by Panic! at the Disco from their 3rd album that's gonna be released this September...

Ryan Ross (Guitarist, Lyricist, baking vocals) and Jon Walker (bass guitarist) just left the band because of some creative differences...The only original members are Brendon Urie (Vocalist) and Spencer Smith(Drummer/Percussionist). Blink 182's bassist, Mark Hoppus, also worked for this song.

The UIC-ITE Foundation Day

IMO, the best party in UIC ever...so far...hehehe

Last week, July 25, at exactly 8.30 in the morning, I arrived at the UIC Bajada and started walking to the gym when the Motorcade of our program, the ITE, also came in the school during the same time from the main campus. My classmates were the first and leading unit in the parade. The party started at 9am with a Eucharistic mass followed by typical cooperative games which includes the sack race, Maria went to town, etc. The ITE was divided into teams --White team (my team), purple, orange, green, etc

The games were so energetic and hyper. The crowd was so cheerful with their representative players. They were growling, screaming, and shouting their cheers. Some are laughing out so joyfully because of so much enjoyment.

At 12.15pm, the morning party had ended. Unfortunately, our team didn't bagged any places in the games. I can't remember what team won the games but congratulations to its members. The Program officers, the third year students and the Circle of Class Presidents (COCC) remained in the gym to clean up the mess while the others have already gone to their homes for the preparation for the night's activity and the most awaited and anticipated party of the day, the Masquerade Ball.

After the cleaning, we all went home to prepare to the night's party. I and my classmate decorated our masks here in our house for 30 minutes. After the preparations, he went home and I gave myself a rest. When I woke up, I bought Kiwi to my neighbor's store to shine my shoes. After, I took a bath and dressed my attire. My classmate, Loren, arrived to our house because we planned on going to the venue together with my 2 other classmates. However, these two classmates of ours arrived in our house late. The rain fell down and we hastily run in to the taxi. When we arrived at the gym, several waiters were there holding umbrellas to assist us. It was like Hollywood and we seemed like celebrities with the red carpet on the entrance. LOL. We are so blessed at that time because we still arrived at the party amidst the heavy rain.

At 6 or 7pm (not so sure), the Masquerade Ball started. The cameras were everywhere flashing all around. The ball's Masters of Ceremonies were the famous DJs of Killer Bee 89.1 Davao namely Rod Rodriguez and Joe Fisher. Several bands played the hottest musics of today amusingly while some screwed up a little. At 7.30, dinner was served in buffet style. We were so full and again posed for the picture takings. After few dance numbers, was the disco craze. It was a 2-hour non-stop dancing. The gym was filled with human heat and sweat. It was so fun dancing especially in a group where showdowns happen and dance-floor masters control the steps of your dance. OTOH, there were people in the stage who made vandalism that caused the Dean to not let a foot step on the stage. After the disco was the awarding which includes the best mask for male and female, the lady and gentleman of the night, and others.

At exactly 9, the party ended and obviously the students hasn't had enough yet of the night. They were still continually taking photos all around the gym. Most planned to go to beer houses and bars. I and few of my classmates went to one of my classmates' house to continue the night. We had fun their by drinking liquors and began feeling so drunk. It was a totally enjoy night for the majority except to the KJs and OAs. It was the first Masquerade Ball in the history of UIC. Congratulations to the ITE program for another first in UIC history. Hope that the foundation day will be so memorable not only in our minds but also in our hearts.

Fiction and Fantasy: Tools to Escape from Reality

Fantasy movies, animes and cartoons, superheroes, wizardries, aliens, fairies, dwarves, elves, and computer games – They are very popular and famous nowadays. Remember when Spider-Man saved the world by defeating his monstrous enemies? When Optimus Primal sacrificed his life and resurrected to end the chaos that the fallen have done? When San Goku saved many planets especially the Earth from destruction? And when Harry Potter out-powered the dark sorcerer from slowly deceiving their school? Well, they are still very fresh and indelible in our minds.

But, have you ever wondered why these kinds of movies are so hit today? Apparently, it is because of the fact that we are in the era of crisis today not only in our country but also globally. The explosions of bombs and projectiles of bullets in the Middle-East are so noisy in the media; the nuclear experiments in North Korea are always in the headlines of the news; the conflicts between politicians also are so exposed; and lately, the terrorism here in our land, specifically in Cotabato. Our mother Earth is so tormented by our human acts that make us wish that somehow, there would be a hero to save us from all the chaos that we are facing right now.

That’s why we are so fond of reading comics, watching fictional TV shows, fantasy movies, cartoon series, science-fictional movies, and playing computer games. It is because they are the only way to relax our minds from the anxiety that we feel in the outside world. They meet our needs for tranquility in the world and show us examples on how to make the world peaceful. They let us temporarily escape the truth that we are living in a slowly demising world. Even children are dreaming to be superheroes just to save us from evil phenomena that we daily experience. Fictions and fantasies are our only way to illusionize ourselves from the great fear we feel.

Even though we try and try to live in the fantasy world, we really cannot escape our reality. The superhero things and save-the-world stuff are just temporary tools of closing our eyes from the truth. However, their one and only theme is we can still save our world not like a typical superhero that we see on TVs but in our own little ways. We must select our leaders wisely and critically. We must practice justice not only in the community we live but start it in our homes. Don’t wait for Christ to descend again here on Earth to resave us. We, ourselves, can be Christ in our hearts by doing his greatest teaching, which is love.

This is my essay composition for our project in Humanities. I just wanna share my insight about the topic. Hope you'll like it. I'm very open for comments and criticisms. Thanks...hehehee

The Fallen

The Fallen. Familiar isn't it?

It's the multi-platinum album of the metal band, Evanescence. However, it isn't an album anymore. It has now come to life. It is now a band; a band consisting of American Idol Season 7 contestant, Carly Smithson, and three of the original Evanescence members, Ben Moody (Evanescence Co-Founder, lyricist and guitarist), John LeCompt (Guitarist and Lyricist), and Rocky Gray (Drummer). The three were fired from the group because of some unknown reasons.

According to Moody, unlike Evanescence, The Fallen is a band where all are equal and will play musics that are darker and newer than Evanescence could ever muster. On the other side, Amy Lee, the frontwoman of Evanescence, cleared up the issue that her band is already dead. In fact, she stated on the band's site that Evanescence is gonna release their new album next year with new style and music.

The Fallen debuted last Monday(June 22) and had their press conference. IMO, they are cool and dark. Carly is funny and pretty. Her voice is great. It's like a combination of Amy Lee and Kelly Clarkson's voice. According to her, this is her true color. Making her a pop artist is not her taste and American Idol was making her not her. She was comfortable and enjoying the band and I think they're gonna last.

Comparison about the two bands are inevitable but I'd still go for Evanescence because, still, no one beats the original.

## Misc Highlight ##

* Reorganized heroes into taverns based on hero class. There are now 3 taverns per class, the "good" tavern has the heroes that are easier to recognize as "good", the evil tavern has the heroes that are easier to recognize as "evil" and the mix as the ones that are in between. In each tavern the heroes are organized inside of it by alphabet. The Taverns are colored according to the class. For example, the good Intelligence tavern is Blue with the color darkening as it goes to the evil side.

* Side shops are now organized independent from their item slot in their original stores. This also fixes hotkey conflict issues.
* Reworked the side shop item layouts. There are now two shops there, a Goblin Laboratory and a Goblin Merchant. New items have been added to these shops. Here is the complete listing of the items in there:
Goblin Laboratory: Scroll of Town Portal, Magic Stick, Sobi Mask, Stout Shield, Ring of Regeneration, Ring of Health, Cloak, Helm of Iron Will, Mask of Death
Goblin Merchant: Slippers of Agility, Boots of Elvenskin, Belt of Giant Strength, Robe of the Mage, Quelling Blade, Gloves of Haste, Blades of Attack, Quarterstaff, Talisman of Evasion, Kelen's Dagger, Ultimate Orb
* Reorganized all the recipe shops. The goals are both to make room for the recently added items and more importantly to organize them in a manner that makes guessing correctly where an item is an easy task for both existing and new players. I know none of us like to relearn item layouts, but this is a good thing to do for the long run.
- There are 6 recipe shops now in the following order:
Gateway Relics: Misc items that are primarily early game upgrades
Supportive Vestments: Various support style items that you get for your team
Arcane Sanctum: Castable or spell heavy themed items
Protectorate: Has mainly defensive/survival style items
Enchanted Artificats: Mostly orb effect items (with the exception of Yasha)
Ancient Weaponry: All other weapon items.

Note: I'm aware that Aegis is no longer needed in the shops, but I'm keeping it there until we need the space to help new users be aware of its existance through Roshan.

## Modes & Commands ##
######################

* Added a new game mode -cd (-CaptainsDraft) [details below]
* Added a new game mode -rs (-randomside) to randomize which side your team starts in. This does not shuffle the players. It just places a team randomly as either Sentinel or Scourge.
* Added -random Intelligence/Strength/Agility. It gives you 100 less bonus gold than the 250 bonus gold the regular -random gives you.

* Added a new -tips system.If you enter the command, the game will give you 5 pointers (at various stages in the game) that are unique to each hero to help you get the basics down. These are not intended to imply guideliens on how to play a hero, but rather as simple tips if you are new with that hero. These are a work in progress.
* Added -water random
* -water now supports any color combinations using -water r g b format

* You can now change the terrain using -terrain snow on a per user basis. It is no longer a game mode. The "-terrain" or "-terrain default" command reverts the terrain to its normal state. Some of the other terrain modes you guys have emailed me about are still being worked on. I disabled them from this version because of some glitches they cause that haven't been fixed yet. I will work on them more in the future if you guys want them.

* Added -disablehelp to Force Staff
* Added a command to display bonus gold received from Goblins Greed (-gg)
* Added -aa (Arrow Accuracy) for Elune's Arrow hit percentages
* -disablehelp now prevents items from being picked up by non-owners from the fountain area
* -oi is turned on by default in observer games. Using -oi will disable it instead.
* Added a sub command to -om that disables neutral spawns
* Added a player only command "rollhero" or "-rh" to randomly display a heroname. This has no actual functional effect in the game, just a small easy command that some players wanted for their play groups.
* AFK detection no longer considers a player to be AFK during the drafting phases of some game modes

* Switch is disabled by default. Added a new temporary game mode -switchon (-so). Haven't developed a new replacement system for switch yet. There are a few ideas I experimented with but nothing final yet. Based on the feedback I've gotten, I think the best thing to do is to disable it by default and allow a mode for it until a more suitable usage of it can be implemented.
* Improved the text presentation of -switch a little bit so the text is less intrusive

## Gameplay & Performance ##

* Added a few new terrain paths. Here are the rough areas that a change has been done in:
- To the right of the Sentinel Secret Shop above the ramp
- Above the Sentinel Goblin Shop
- Between the forest and the top Scourge lane
- Right side of sent jungle
- To the right of the second top Sentinel tower
- Added a new tree to the Scourge jungle
- In the area between the pair of Scourge neutrals near the powerup

* Range rax no longer has extra regeneration
* Added a new regeneration armor mechanism for towers and rax.
- The "regen armor" is stripped away whenever there are nearby creeps (or corpses). It gets restored once 15 seconds elapse without a nearby unit.
- If a tower or rax takes damage without the regen armor, that life lost can never be naturally regenerated. If it does have the regen armor, then it will regenerate at a rate of 40hp/seconds and take only 25% damage from illusions.
- Flagged areas are 1) All places considered in or near base 2) second Top Tower 3) second Mid Tower 4) second Bot Tower.

* Increased the non-splitting portion of the xp/gold from 8/level xp & 40 gold to 12*level xp & 30+5*level
* The non-splitting xp/gold bonuses are now doubled for EM like the rest of the xp/bounty system is

* Changed the damage type of the first tower to be Siege like the rest of the towers. Adjusted the damage table to keep the damage creeps take in the laning phase unchanged.
* Tower does not regenerate from allied damage (when trying to deny)

24 Heroes are randomly allocated in a circle (like RD). The 24 consist of 8 random Intelligence/Agility/Strength heroes, sorted in that order along the circle.

Each team has a total time bank of 2.5 minutes. Blue/Pink draft the heroes for their entire team.

Blue and Pink start off by alternating 1/1/1/1 ban picks.
It then goes into a 1/2/2/2/2/1 hero draft.

Once a hero picks/bans a hero, it immediately switches to the other player to act.
Your timer is shown in read when it is your turn to act.

I am considering implementing a new order for the bans for this mode in the future. The bans would not all happen before the pick process, it would be in between picks. I decided to keep it the traditional way for now and get some feedback on alternatives.

Gives half the bonus against creeps and buildings.

Mystic Snake:

Seeking revenge for the ravaging of his homeland, Cairne will soon bring his wrath upon the Scourge.

Calls upon the spirit of his ancestors to join him in an earth-shattering echo, rendering nearby foes unconcious. The spirit and Tauren Chieftain both deal 80 damage in the area, the Spirit dealing magical damage and the physical form dealing physical damage. Unconscious enemies will wake if they get hit. If the spirit is seperated from you, it will still perform its part of the spell.

American Idol Season 8 Champion!

Yeah right...

I don't like to accept it but the underdog Kris Allen was crowned yesterday the Champion of the 8th season of American Idol with 80+ million (not so sure) votes all over America. I thought it was Adam Lambert who will win but my mind is also open for Kris because of a superstition. My superstition is whoever Simon Cowell praises in the finals will be the one who'll not win. Like in the season 7 where Cowell exclaimed that Archuleta knocked down Cook but Cook won.

Actually, I was really in favor for Lambert because of his godly voice and great-ever performances throughout the season. For me, Allen was just nothing because his voice and musical style are so ordinary and boring though sometimes his style fits some modern songs. But, what can we do? It's the choice of America...tsk...tsk...

Anyway, congratulations to Kris Allen and hope that you will really give us songs from your heart that we will like and may you not waste America's vote for you.

The first time I heard this song was on the radio and I loved it instantly. It's a very beautiful love song that love-at-first-sight believers can relate to. It's just a simple love song but what made it so magical is how the band played the song with a very wonderful and emotional vocals.

Crazy by Stars Go Dim was the top 1 and currently on the top 2 ,beaten by Broken Strings song on the Monster Radio FM station.

I'm feeling so tired and haven't fully recovered yet from my classmate's birthday outing in Blue Jaz, Samal. Just wanna thank the b-day celebrant and his family for the free trip...hehe...

Just done playing GG and expectedly won the game...

And I'm a bit proud of our Surplus Shop because the National multi-awarded artist Rico Blanco, who is the former vocalist of the Rock Band Rivermaya, just went here to buy an electric guitar...hehehe...bleh! He just left 10 minutes ago to play again in SM or NCCC mall (not sure).

They (Rico Blanco's Band) were at the Market Basket last night with the other local bands and played their hottest singles. Unfortunately, I wasn't there because we were so tired from our beach b-day party...

Pet Society

Pet Society is a Flash Application Game in Facebook where you tame your own personal pet in a small society with your friends who also have their pet society accounts. You can visit the pets of your friends and have fun. You can also make your pet's house luxurious than your neighbors' by earning money. Money can be earned by joining and winning the racing competition, lottery, gift offerings by friends, socializing with friends, and playing any other games. Food center, Luxury store, Stadium, Fashion and clothing shops, Furniture stores, and others are available for your personal and household needs.

It's so easy to play as the Tamaguchi because both are similar in most ways. First of all, you must have an account in Facebook social network site and look for the pet society application. Next, after clicking the application, you may now create your own pet. You're given many choices that you prefer what would be the physical features of your pet - the eyes, the skin color, nose, ears, etc., and give him/her your desired name and gender. Finally, you start the game and explore by yourself more about it.

I have my own pet in the game but it's still poor and I still need to progress my house so as my pet to make them gallant as i would like them to be..hehehe...

Pet Society is fun to play and it can melt your boredom. It's worth playing if you don't know what to do. Just like today, it's summer and the school year just ended so we still don't have classes and I'm so idle. Through pet society, I can't feel like I'm bored. National Earth Hour

I know it's kinda weird but I'm feeling a little excitement in me this coming evening because of the national total-brown out. I can't wait to experience how the Philippines react to this Earth hour.

March 28, this 8.30-9.30 evening, electricity nationwide will be shut off to encourage people to conserve electricity and reduce the greenhouse emissions that cause global warming. This is to raise awareness about climate change. At least, for just a short moment, we may contribute a little for the saving of our planet.

Tonight, I'm really expecting a new-year-like-environment wherein people are gonna make their noise because electricity will be turned off and at least, for a bit period, all of us will become one as we cooperate to help save the mother.

My Sixth Sense

Last night, I took up the "What is your 6th Sense" quiz on Facebook and I was kinda impressed with the result.

And the result is...

My 6th sense is Clairaudio and it says that:

I was satisfied with the result because I just realized last night that it was 80% true. I'm unconscious of the hearing stuff at first. That's why most of the decisions I make don't make me regret for having done them. Most of the times, I remember things through their sounds even though I just first heard the sound and not listening to it but hearing it, when it plays back to another scenario, it now sounds familiar that digs the memory of my mind where and when did I heard the sound. And of course, I'm an ultimate music lover that's why people around me usually see me having earphones. However, what intrigues me is the line that says I can hear voices of the dead. I don't know if I heard one or I'm just unaware of it. I want to experience hearing the dead because I'm a little bit curious of their voices.

At Last!!!

After the hell week of lining and rushing from one office to another for the clearance signing, overnighting at the house of my groupmate for 3 consecutive nights for our tons of computer-related projects, and wasting lots of money for printing paperworks and for the transportation fees, at last!, it's all over for this semester!

Hahayzzz...It's really a big relief for me and my fellow students. I thank the Lord, thy God, for helping me for the completion of these school requirements.

And now, the days of enjoyment and relaxation shall begin...

Tomorrow, we'll have again our Samal Escapade. I hope that this one may be more fun than the previous ones. I'm so want this summer break to come because my uncle just bought the complete season 3 episodes of Heroes. I just so wanna see it.
Moreover, I'm so excited to relive my used routine every class-less days - to stay awake very late at night and to wake up every noon time. That's what I consider life.Hahahaha...

By the way, I would like to thank all of my professors except some for...I don't know why. Just thank you. And to all of my groupmates in all the subjects for the big help.

Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

A very hard question to answer for people who are truly in love. Money, luck, smarts, or destiny - which is the best one?

Before I start, let me apologize for not posting any posts for one or two weeks because it's our final term for this semester already and I, with my university-mates, am so busy making and doing our semesteral-ender requirements including signing of clearance and making and defensing/presenting our IT-related projects.

Uhm...Okay...Here I go...

Last week, February 28, we, my family, watched the 81st Academy Awards (Oscar) best picture film, the Slumdog Millionaire, because we were so intrigued why it won several awards. And we have concluded that it's worth the Oscar.

While watching, we haven't felt a single second boredom in the movie. You will surely watch every moment of the movie, every scene, action, and line. It's a full packed movie which contains the life of Jamal, the main protagonist, his love story, the picture of the present India, and the mentality and manners of the Hindus. The story is realistic and fun !

The story took place when Jamal joined the Indian version of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire". There, the excitement started - How he found her lost girl-friend (not girlfriend), why and how he became a millionaire even though he is only a slumdog who is under-educated because he didn't even reached high school, and how abused are the children in India. It also implicates brotherly love, childhood friendship, survival in a City of poverty, and crime modus superandi.

In addition, the proverb, Experience is the best teacher, may be a theme of the movie; You don't have to be rich or scholastically educated just to be a millionaire. Even a mouse can be a lion in a dream.

All in all, it's 8.8/10 for me. It's really worth the awards and worth watching. A great, fascinating Indie film. We Filipinos can really reflect and relate with the movie. Just watch the movie and you can choose the answer to the question above depending on how you interpreted the last part of the movie.

Last week, we, with my family, went in the theatre to watch "Push" starred by Chris Evans of Fantastic 4 movie's Human Torch. Well, the watching was just okay. We were so silent while watching. Words only uttered during the later part of the movie.

The movie was kinda confusing; it has many twists. The special effects and fighting styles and stunts were great. It's a little bit X-Men-like. The actions are like mutant madness where supernatural powers are used during the action.

I'm not really sure because it's just my first time to watch the movie and I think all must watch it twice to completely understand the flow of the story, but I think the story is about a telekinetic boy who is finding the cure for her abducted telepathic girlfriend with the help of the other mutants. Her girlfriend was almost dying so they made a very clever plan to get the cure. They managed to let the two sets of their enemies meet. Both sides of the enemies fought using their supernatural powers. In the end, the major antagonist thought that he succeeded but unfortunately, the telepathic girl, who is the girlfriend of Chris in the movie, killed him by manipulating his mind to kill himself.

Overall, it was 7/10. It's not so good yet not so bad. As I said, it was just okay for me. It's a good movie to watch for people who seek X-men-like movies but it can't be compared with X-men because no one beats the original.

February 8, 2009, at the 51st Grammy Awards, Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Scott Raynor officially announced the reformation of their band, Blink-182. They are currently recording their sixth new album and updated their logo.

I can't wait to hear their new songs and I'm sure that they will hit the top of the charts.

Haunting Disappointment and Discouragement

I know my pride won't allow me to share this but I think I have to, to lessen the burden. I've been feeling so down since the start of this year because I doubt my computing skills. I feel so dull and lame in my classes especially to my major subjects. I feel lots of negativity in our major IT subjects. I don't know if this would just pass by or if this burden would be forever.

I'm having second thoughts of my course, Information Technology, because I found out that I'm really in a competitive course where you must be very skillful to earn high grades and as a corporate, you must be very skilled. I don't know why but I feel so weak. I know that I can outstand in our minor courses but that's not enough for me to be contented because I'm aiming to be good in the majors. It's not like I want to be in the top. I just want to at least do our computer-related activities satisfactory for myself because most of the time, the activities that I pass and checked by our instructors are in reliance with my classmates.

Moreover, I think I don't have the skills, guts, and attitudes of an IT person. I'm bad at computer programming, I lack interest about computers, I'm lazy, I don't have any motivation to continue this course, and I always play on the safe side. I easily get discouraged everytime I feel screwed. This feeling always haunts me every morning when I wake up that provokes me not to go to school

When I was still in highschool, I thought that I'd be good in computers because I love them. But that love withered when I've become awared that lots of my colleagues have far greater skills and talents in IT. I'm feeling out of place right now but I think I must continue this study just for the sake of the tuiton fees wasted in my first year.

I know this sounds OA but it's really true. I hope that this realization will be uprighted by something or someone and this regrets will vanish soon. Right now, I don't have any plans for my future. I just want to just live domestically.

Reign Over the Frozen Skies...

I've been watching the Bleach anime these past weeks via DVD and I'm currently on the 100th episode. I love the anime, the story line, the bouts, the setting, the concept, the opening and closing songs, and especially the characters but I hate most of the sound effects for they don't really fit the situation of a certain scene. It's a nice show to watch and spend free time with.

Among the characters, who I admire most is the Captain of the 12th Division of the Gotei 13, Toshiro Hitsugaya, who is also called the "child prodigy". I love to see the way he releases his Shikai where his Zanpakutou, Hyorinmaru, is summoned and freezes the battlefield with ice and also his Bankai where he acquires iced wings and iced tail.

Hyorinmaru is the most powerful ice and water element entity in the series. He appears like a snake-dragon covered with ice. His eyes are red and everything that is near him freezes. It bursts my excitement every time he is summoned because he, together with Hitsugaya, looks so cool and exciting.

Oh yeah! My most favorite female talented Baldwin- pianist and singer-songwriter, popularly known as Amy Lee. She is the front-woman of the multi-awarded and multi-platinum band, Evanescence.

I first loved her when her band released their debut single and music video, Bring me to Life, because the band rocks uniquely supreme. I like their gothic fashions, nu-metal sound, and the concept of their music videos like Everybody's Fool, Call me When you're Sober, Sweet Sacrifice, and more.

I also love her because of her originality. Her band is the only female-fronted man that is categorized in the Nu-metal genre together with Linkin Park, KoRn, Limp Bizkit, etc., although they are generally categorized in the Alternative Metal genre. I like the way she plays her Baldwin piano while singing with her rocking angelic voice. She also hates females who sell their body just to earn fame and money like Britney Spears. In fact, the song "Everybody's Fool" was for her sister because her sister liked Britney Spears and she scolded her for that. For her, being a sexual display tool in the public is not the answer to gain fame and money.

Her voice is in the range of a mezzo-soprano. She can sing very high notes that a typical female vocalist can't reach. Her voice also has its uniqueness that when she sings, you can easily identify that she's the one singing. It makes you relaxed and calm despite the trembling electric guitars and drums playing; that no matter how metallic the song is, with her voice, your soul still feel relaxed. Moreover, during concerts, even though she's not feeling well, she still attends because she respects her fans very well. She is freaking cool while performing hardcore rocks live with her insane head-banging. When she sings mellow like Lithium and My Immortal, she's like a classic singer playing with her piano. She can hit the notes perfectly while playing piano unlike other artists that when they sing with their piano live, they fail to sing their songs perfectly.

Another thing is her clothing fashions. Every performance, the clothes she wears are designed by just all by herself. Her romantic gothic appearance seems to add a great appeal on her audience.

Ever had a professor who only attends your class 2 or 3 times a term in a semester? And he only enters your class the meeting before the examination days? If you had or have one, then, better shift to another professor with the same subject for you'll learn nothing but bullshit.

We have this professor, who entered our prelim for, I think, just three times. As what I remember, the first meeting was the introduction of the subject and himself, the second was a little overview about the subject, and the third one was a sudden review for the prelim exam together with few oral recitations.

When he already submitted and displayed our grades in the web site of our school, almost all of us got discouraged and felt that it was extremely unfair. Most of us, the sophomores, failed while some got low grades. Only counted students got fair grades. I got the borderline passing grade and I felt bullshit for it.

I also had the same negative feeling as the others. It was so unfair because he had no quizzes at all and how come he could grade as like that. He is so shameless for all of these was his fault. He's just taking us for granted never minding that what he's doing was a big injustice. He's an attorney so he must be aware of that! Also, it is not a big excuse for him being absent most of the time just because of his attorney whatever stuffs. He entered this job so he must manage his time in just; it's his responsibility to attend us during our sessions.

One more thing, he looks so weird, autistic and uncomfortable teaching in front of us. His eyes are moving anywhere that distracts us. His penmanship is so ugly like a child who just learned how to write on a board. He's words are unclear and it takes us too hard to understand him. In summary, he is lousy.

I hope that this midterm, he will not be the same. If not, I pray that he would be fired from the university for students don't need a stupid teacher.

The Memory of Sunday

The story starts with a boy waking up early in the Sunday morning and feeling excited to marry his lover. As he prepared his wedding suit, he was recalling their happy memories together that even though how rude or evil the girl was, he still loved her and fortunately changed her to a better one. After all the preparations, he now went out from his house and made his way to the location of the girl.

However, when she went to the house of the girl, no one was in there. He waited for hours and hours outside calling the girl til the night came and the rain poured down. He was almost crying and broke his patience. He disturbed the sleeping neighbors very late at night interrogating them where the girl is. But, most of them couldn't answer him straightly until one of them told him what really happened. Then, the boy had no choice but to go home with painful tears in his heart.

Did you felt sympathy for the boy?
Uhm...If I were asked, it's a yes...

Sad love stories like that are really poignant and leave questions in our minds. Up to now, I really don't know why the girl disappeared.

Actually the story is my own interpretation of the song, "Remembering Sunday", by All Time Low. I consider the song one of the best sad love songs because it is so touching. The song was made perfectly and performed greatly by the band with the collaboration of Juliet Simms (from the band Automatic Loveletter) in the ending part of the song.

Hulk Vs.

Have yourself prepared because the green destroying-monster, again, is clobbering this year!!!

Hulk Vs. is a two short film battle by Marvel Comics. This film includes "Hulk vs. Wolverine" (33 minute short film) and Hulk vs. Thor" (45 minute long film). Hulk vs. Wolverine is obviously a battle between the two but additional characters are included such as Omega Red, Dead Pool, Sabretooth, and Lady Deathstrike to make the film more fun and intense. While Hulk vs. Thor is the Ragnarok between gods and the Hulk.

The Hulk is considered as the strongest character in the Marvel Universe because his strength is based on the level of his anger; the angrier he is, the stronger and more powerful he becomes. He's just not tough physically for he can block telepathic attacks unlike Juggernaut and resist magical attacks over time. The only thing to beat him is to calm him down.

I've already seen the film and it's great. I had fun watching the battles of the unbeatable Hulk that even gods, like Loki and his daughter, the goddess of the afterlife, took the most desperate ways to handle his wild rage and five strong X-Men characters weren't able to defeat him. If I were to choose, I like more Hulk vs Thor because it's a balance of story and battle unlike the other one which only shows how strong is the Hulk by defeating Wolverine and the others. Also, strong characters like Omega Red was weakened and that's what I hate most in movies/films.

The film can now be watched via video streaming web sites like youtube. Just watch the two films and witness how Hulk smashes!

Naruto Manga: Getting Boring and Boring Over Time

Hmmm....

The latest chapters of Naruto in Manga, the eradication of Konoha by Pein's (or Pain, both spellings are used in the Manga) wrath, make me annoyed because Naruto is being so high-lighted and strengthened over the other characters even though it's impossible for his present state.

Come to think of it. The ninjas of the Konoha, with the high-class ninjas like Kakashi and the Fathers of Choji and Ino, were almost killed by just one or two Peins, but the weak Naruto, who just got tired by his endless pissing trainings, just thwacked one of the Peins and it just died in a sudden. Also, he defeated Pein's summoned minions effortlessly that even high-ranked ninjas couldn't.

It's so unfair in the part of the other supporting characters because we know that all of them are just almost equal in strength and techniques, they only differ in their fighting styles.

Masashi Kishimoto, the author of Naruto, must also develop the other characters because Uzumaki Naruto isn't the only one the viewers/watchers want to see in action but also other characters like Hyuuga Hinata, Aburame Shino, Yamanaka Ino, Senju Tsunade, and many more. They must expose each of the characters equally to know their capabilities more together with their improvements.

I'm very disappointed with this issue that's why I now watch Bleach, another fictional Japanese anime and comics, because the Manga and the anime make us know all of the primary and supporting characters of Bleach by showing the us how they fight in a combat exposing them long enough, their life backgrounds, and their personalities and characteristics.

The stuffs like "You are the chosen one", "You are the prodigal one", or other lines like that, which makes the main protagonist very special than the rest, are so oldish and give the viewers no excitement at all.

Actually, I like Naruto because of its concept - a fictional world with consistency in story and twists, the style of setting which is so traditional, the moral, and most of all, the story flow. It's just that, I've got irritated by so much, "Uzumaki Naruto is the only one who can save us", lines. It's so childish.

All of the characters must be given importance and significant roles so that the fans must not only hail and idolize one character that might bore them as time passes by and forces them to not anymore continue anticipate the series.

Uniqueness

Do you believe that all of us, even non-living things, have their own strengths and weaknesses? Obviously it's a yes for the majority. But why are we having such strengths and weaknesses? Maybe it's because we're all unique. However, what is the essence of uniqueness if all of us are unique? I mean, If we're all unique, there's no more uniqueness in that because it's just normal and ordinary to be so unique.

It might be that we're unique in our own different ways. But if all of us have our own uniqueness in our own different ways, therefore, the thought is just the same as said in the paragraph above; it is again considered as being normal.

I know it sounds like crazy and nonsense but when you intellectually think of it over and over, you might get my point.

I just wanna share what my mind wanna say. Nothing personal.

By the way, belated merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to all of you! Sorry for not posting for weeks because of the yuletide celebration. Here I go again...please read, enjoy, and gain new information about entertainment on my first post this 2009.

One of my favorite bands, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (RJA), had already finished recording their new and second album entitled "Lonely Road". Yeah! It's true and I'm so really wanna listen all of the songs in the album because the titles of the tracks are so interesting and raises my level of curiosity in every song.

Their sophomore album was recorded at Valley Village, California, in the studio of the producer of great bands like All-American Rejects, Hoobastank, Daughtry, etc., namely Howard Benson. This album will be released on February 3rd of this year.

However, Elias Reidy, the guitarist and backing vocals of the band, already left the band for some reasons I dunno yet but he already recorded the whole CD before leaving RJA. But I think he was already replaced but not sure of it.

I'm expecting that this album will, again, be a great hit on billboards top songs, radio stations, and music television channels. This will serve as their 2009 gift for all RJA fans like me.

Video Game of the Year (2008)

And the video game of 2008 goes to...

Grand Theft Auto IV!!!

Yeah! It's true...
The game was awarded by Spike TV's 2008 Video Game awards (can't remember the exact date) although the it is banned by some countries due to its social immorality influence on gamers especially to the under-aged.

I'm not a Grand Theft Auto (GTA) enthusiast but I played three of its installments, GTA 2, Vice City, and San Andres, and it was so fun killing people, flying over the city, destroying police vehicles, helicopters, and many more.

IMO, what made it won as the Video Game of 2008 is because of the great freedom it may give the player. What I mean is, you can make crimes and escape from the law. Also, activating its cheat codes makes it more fun. We do wanna break human laws because it's so boring to be so disciplined, aren't we? This game just unleashes the crime potential of players.

But players must not apply these acts to real life because life isn't a video game. Life is real; it isn't a game that you can go back to time by loading your saved game. So don't let this game devour your mind from the real world.

PSITS 2008

The 5th annual celebration of the Philippine Society of Information Technology Students (PSITS) last December 13-14 was indeed a great success! The said event was participated by different schools with IT courses in Region XI. The event was held in Brokenshire College of Davao. The competition was very tough because all of the participants were pretty talented and made their best to get the crown.

The schools involved, based on what I still remember, were Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU), University of Southeastern Philippines (USP), University of Mindanao (UM) Tagum, UM Matina, Holy Child of Davao, Jose Maria College (JMC), Systems Technology Institute (STI) Davao, Brokenshire College of Davao, University of the Philippines (UP) Mindanao, Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC), Davao Merchant Marine Academy (DMMA) College of Southern Philippines, and University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC). It's a big question mark why AMA College was not in the event. May be they have some problems that failed them to participate in the celebration.

Different athletic games, mind games, IT-related competitions like programming, and entertainment talents were witnessed during the event. We enjoyed every activity for it was so intense, extremely exciting, and authentically heart-beating. In short, it was so fun.

The reigning champion of the 2007's PSITS celebration, the STI College, failed to defend their title because, we, the UICeans did the best of our bests to obtain the title. Even though we had no entry for the Cheerdance Competition, we still won overall and declared as the PSITS 2008 Champion!

Go UIC-ITE!
Let's prove them we deserve the crown!
Go higher!
We didn't choose our victory. We created it because we don't choose the best, we create them!

Hope that we will improve more our performances for the next PSITS events.

Naruto Shippuuden: The Immortals Arc

Just recently watched the last episode of Hidan and Kakuzu in Naruto Shippuuden episode 88.
I'm just a bit sad because the Akatsuki immortals Hidan and Kakuzu, who are two of my favorite members, are defeated.

These two were greatly and indeed tough opponents for the Konoha shinobis because it took 8 ninjas just to defeat them. The avenger Shikamaru is admirable in this arc through his magnificent plan because this shows that great strength is nothing versus great intellect. Naruto's new double-edged jutsu was also first exposed here where he defeated Kakuzu using it.

I really admire the powers and jutsus of the two that's why I'm feeling quite bad right now. Like Hidan, I want to be invincible and immortal; that every pain inflicted on me will just be healed by few minutes; that even if beheaded, I, still, am alive. Also, Kakuzu's 5 lives is a one unique ability among all other shinobis in the anime though his forms don't look fair in the eyes. He's motto is like "If you wanna get rid of me, kill me five times" and Hidan's is "Even if you cut everything but my head, I still live".

The fighting scenes were breath-taking and must-focused that made this arc worthy to be watched. I love also the violence especially in Hidan's part where he always use blood in his combats. If this arc would be a human-acted movie, I think it would be like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Hills Have Eyes, and other movies with the same concept because of the gore that the two made.

Smallville: Doomsday

I'm really, really excited for this season of Smallville because the most ferocious and violent villain of Superman is here!

That's right...Doomsday, the only villain who defeated Clark Kent (earthly name of Superman) in the original comics, is currently in Smallville to eradicate the world. He is as hard or may be harder than a diamond that whatever physical pain is thrown on him will no longer damage him for the second time around because his body becomes immune to any physical attack after the particular attack.

I really wanna see as soon as possible all the episodes of this Doomsday saga. He is the only villain who can match up with Superman's inhuman strength that's why he's my most favorite. I hope the director will not weaken his character and I wanna see serious and unhurried combat of the two unlike the previous battles of Clark that even how strong the enemy is, he had defeated them by just a single blow or by just an item, in a blink of an eye...It really sucks every time it happens like that because it makes your excitement on his battle vanish like a bubble...

Hope that this one will never fail me and all the other Smallville fans...

2nd Samal Outing

Yeah! My post birthday celebration was fun, successful and memorable. It was overall great, for our class (or let's just say our company) had great bonding - the group acoustic singing session , the swimming, volleyball, karaoke singing, the beer table, the sleepless night, the story sharing, etc.

Our planned time gathering was really 8am but because we're "pinoys", it was already, I think 11am, that we were completely gathered and made our trip to Samal. We arrived at almost 12+ and ate our lunch. We spent our afternoon by swimming and playing. I, together with few of the party, cooked and prepared our dinner after the afternoon jamming.

The night was not ideal for us to sleep because it was too noisy. The resort became just like a cheap mini Boracay because most of the people there discoed the whole night with the trembling beat of the music. It made me difficult to sleep. Most of us slept very late or should I say very early in the morning (3-5am). We woke up at 6, ate our breakfast at 7 and went home by 8am.

I thank you guys for that one of a kind outing of ours. Thanks for the party and celebration. Thank you for those who are present - Darin, Loren, Archie, Joselito, Jer, Suzanne, Pido, Kenneth, Ronnie, Louie, James, Jan, Nogine, Darwin, Yamato, Tangerine, Evangeline, Klyde, Noty, Aiden, Ritche, Melai, Rynie, Mariz, Dahlchie, JM, Kennard, Boom, and Jerdon.

I 'm just kinda flattered because one of my former classmates admired my playlist in my friendster account.

According to him, he listened almost all of the songs in the list and liked it very much. He said tears dropped from his eyes caused by the lyrics and the melody of the songs.

Because I look like so innocent, I know that it's ironical that I love Rock songs but what can I do? I just love them. Whatever sub-genre the song belongs, as long as it is rock and the message is admirable and heart-catching, I will and shall love it not minding whoever the song artist is.

Resident Evil: Degeneration

Finally, after waiting for about three months...
The 6th and latest movie of the Resident Evil (RE) franchise can now be viewed on the Net. I haven't seen yet the movie but I'm sure that it 'll be a big blockbuster movie for the RE fans.
The movie takes place 7 years after the video game RE2 and RE3: Nemesis and 1 year after RE4. Two of the main RE protagonists, Leon and Claire, are back again to kick some zombie ass.

I'm so excited to see this movie for I am a big fan also of the RE series.
For all the RE enthusiasts, prepare for more action, zombie madness, and virus storm for I'm sure this will not make my expectations be a big junk.

Let's Call it a Day!

At last!
I'm already in our white tower home, currently reviewing our lessons in school for this week is our exam week.
We just had our Physics II examination lately this morning in the annex campus and it was a nose-bleeding one. After the Physics exam, we had our lunch at Pritong Manok and went to JS Citimall to spend our remaining free time before the next exam, where I with one of my classmates played Narutimate Accel 2 (Naruto Shippuuden 2) and I won by the score 4 times greater than his. As expected, the throne is still mine-I won of course. When it's already time, my eyes got teary and reddy.
After spending time in the mall, we went back to our main campus and had our Theology 4 test. It was quite difficult but I successfully answered the questions.
After the the exam, we went to Sequel/NetExpress Internet Cafe and played DotA (Defense of the Ancients) where we had 2 games exactly over two hours. We had 2 vague games due to some technical errors of the Cafe's LAN that ended with unsatisfaction and discontentment of the game . After all of the fun, my eyes got vampire-like because it became more reddy.

I'm so tired right now yet still taking my time typing this post. I just wanna share my journal as of this day...

About tomorrow, December 4, I don't know if I'm gonna be happy or not because it's my birthday and I feel so much pressure right now. I dunno why. Maybe because of my classmates' and friends' expectation on my birthday. However, I'm not gonna treat them by tomorrow for the reason that our class decided to unite my and one of my classmates' birthday this coming 6. Hence, it'll be a post-celebration in my case and a pre-celebration for my classmate's. We are planning to celebrate these birthdays in Samal Island in which each one of them must contribute 100Php for the additional foods and other stuffs excluding the transportation and entrance fees.

I hope and pray that tomorrow may be an ideal day for me and the double-birthday celebration will be a successful and joyful one.

Yes! My new fave song performed by Barlow Girl. I first heard it when my friend invited us to her church, which at that time, celebrated such special occasion. Two of the performers during that night sang "Never Alone". I thought that it was a boring one because at the first verse, the two singers sang lousily. But then, when they reached the chorus up to the end, I was mesmerized by the melody, the lyrics, and their voices.

Also, one of the reasons why I like the song is because of its message. IMO (In My Opinion) and interpretation, the song tells us that He is just here around us. We're just too confined by the world that we can't even notice Him. However, in the end, after all of the fun the world may offer, we still feel alone and empty.
This song is for us teenagers because we usually feel lonely even if we're in our company, aren't we? In the end, it's still Him that we seek and He gives us the joy that the world can never fulfill.
